My Hurricane Tracker & Alerts app good for
Simple to use and interesting to see where is the meteorological event and its direction.
Sometimes the software provides two events alert for same thing.
The maps and interface are well done, and a great source of info on the path and stats of current storms. Very interesting, thanks!
While tracking some hurricanes and storms, I wanted up to date information. This app provides easy to use info and clear projections of where the storms are moving. It has radar that is also very cool. Better than other apps.
Some bad moments
Really useful app love the design and easy to use. Keeps me up to date on weather warnings and new storm formations with push notifications. One of the better weather apps in the AppStore!
Love this app for hurricane info. For someone like me who lives on the east coast and was hit by sandy pretty hard having this info in one place with all warnings in invaluable. I also love that I can view past years storms!
If you need to know storms approaching near you, then you should get this utility app.
Really great if you live in a hurricane/tornado prone area. Cool to see the maps and tracking
Theres no real point to this app. It shows current hurricanes in whatever formation state theyre in. And shows their location and windspeed. The same thing you get from websites and evening news programs. If any of these hurricanes were near your location, you would have already seen the alerts on your local news outlets. So, it does nothing to save or warn you. Its just a toy to show you where current hurricanes are.
Using Past mode, it gets really useless and absurd. It shows hurricanes with windspeeds of 35 mph. Yep... 35 mph...LOL. Not even close to being a hurricane. So I looked for a filter for windspeeds, and there was none. With that kind of inaccuracy, cows farting would register as hurricanes.
The whole layout of the app was boring and predictable. Nothing exciting or interesting in any way. Just another off the shelf Template attached onto a Weather Outlet Feed, with a generic skin/wrapper, to make it look like he spent some time creating this. Ha! FWIW Pass. Not worth the download.
There are tons of weather apps out there, but this one is actually useful. Clear easy to understand UI layout ensures you get vital stats on current and past hurricanes in a jiffy.
All these features packed into a 5MB download? Awesome.
